Children’s Stories For Adults, Part 4: a story for Lorcan: Lorcan the Chameleon.
Posted on November 25, 2009 by mister ebby
Lorcan was bored in a lecture and asked for entertainment, so I texted him this quick little story that I wrote on the spot. Obviously it is ~amazing art~

There once was a chameleon called Lorcan,
Who could change his skin to blend in,
But soon Lorcan realised,
That it’s far more fun to stand out in a crowd.
So Lorcan the chameleon began to change his skin,
No longer to try and merely fit in,
But to stand out in a crowd,
Feeling quite proud
With colours as eye-catching as could be.

In brief:
mister ebby is a pianist and songwriter from Galway.
His songs range from quiet intimate moments, to bawdy cabaret singalong, to piano heavy rock, but always showcasing his expressive piano style.
"Wires" is his debut album, and was recorded and released in 2011, and sees the songs fleshed out further with multiple vocal layers, and additional instruments: double bass, cello and drums.
He performed to a full house in the Festival Club at the Cork Jazz Festival in 2011, and has been winning over audiences at smaller gigs around Ireland as well as drawing support from around the world for the crowdfunding project that helped fund the debut album recording.
With the first album on release, he is already planning to record the follow-up, which is written and ready to head into the studio.Contact:
